InovCapital is a Society of Risk Capital reporting to the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, which will contribute to the development of the Technology Plan and thus for the sustainable growth of the national economy by promoting entrepreneurship and proactive participation in the capital of enterprises. It aims at increasing the competitiveness and internationalization of Portuguese companies.

InovCapital will invest its assets in companies with high growth potential (i.e. SMEs) and recovery, especially start-ups or innovative projects aimed at business strategies in competitive globalised markets, thus contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Technology Plan.
